Intensive Program Seminar Neusiedl am See March 19th - April 2nd

The program of the Intensive program 2006 in Neusiedl am See was organised in three different parts:

BLOCK 1 Lectures
As a result from the Kick off Meeting in November 2005 about the multi-functionality on soil and land use, we were specifying several topics for case studies and lectures appropriate to the five soil research clusters for the IP in March 2006. BLOCK 3 Project Week
Within the following project week students and teachers from various sciences, planning fields and practical work of city and regional planning, soil sciences, water management and nature protection from ten different countries were elaborating concepts for soil protection and responsible multifunctional land use.

  • Identity and visual quality of the landscape
  • Ecological networks and sustainable agriculture
  • Communication
  • Water quality management in the Fertö region
  • Tourism as an important part of local economy
